1. Statement

We are committed to aligning our business with wider social and environmental factors. Whilst our business model allows us to give back to society in the form of the furtherance of academic research, we also endeavour to find more ways to give back through our business practices

2. Our Procedures

We take steps to manage our compliance with the above statement in proportion to our business size. The steps we have and continue to take include:

a. Legal compliance

Our business complies with all applicable UK legislation and regulations, including the Bribery Act 2010, the Equality Act 2010 and UK GDPR (the retained European General Data Protection Regulations 2016), and any applicable trade compliance laws and regulations. Please refer to our separate statements on anti-corruption and bribery, anti-slavery and human trafficking and our privacy policy for further details. In addition to legal compliance, we are committed to operating our business with integrity, maintaining accurate records including of any conflicts of interest.

b. Ethical conduct

We operate our business with high standards of integrity and try to promote fair dealing, supported by our policies on anti-corruption and bribery and anti-slavery and human trafficking, and are committed to operating in line with international human rights standards.

c. Employee protections

We offer our employees a safe and secure working environment. We do not tolerate any forms of harassment or discrimination and comply with all applicable employment laws including wage and working time regulations and freedom of association. We also aim to provide all employees with a healthy workplace.

d. Protecting the environment

We recognise the need to protect the environment and operate our business with this in mind. We are committed to complying with all applicable environmental laws and regulations. We support this through remote working and online document storage, minimising transportation impacts and our paper-trail.

e. Ongoing learning

We aim to continually build on our social awareness as a business and are always open to suggestions and ideas both internally and externally on how we can improve our practices.
